Today, 1/16/2016, is Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday so what better way than to make my first Quote of the Week this year by MLK on his day.
As I’m still continuing on towards my journey of progression it’s always easy for me to become discouraged especially when things are not going they way I want them too. My career transition is a constant struggle but the positive energy around me that others give always pushes me the right way.
Out of all King’s quotes, this one spoke to me the loudest. I took from many conversations with friends and family that the desire for change is easy but actually making the changes is a hard one. This quote has shown me that even if we can’t see what’s ahead, the first step has to be taken in order for us to get there. On this day I reflect on the world and the strides this country has made to get to where it is. Faith and a lot of work will help us continue on.
