Ok so I know I’m a little late due to the season already being in full effect but better late than never right?! I had already made my shopping list for a few items for the upcoming fall/winter season a couple of months prior so decided to share a few here.
Per usual the weather is very bi-polar here in Houston so from day to day and we never know what we’re going to get. For example Friday I went to work with a coat and low boots on, fast forward to Sunday where I ran my errands after a hot yoga class in a tank top, no jacket needed.
I already pulled out all my sweaters, cardigans, hats, and everything in between from the back of the closet and from my tightly sealed bin for my fall/winter wardrobe. Even though I have more than enough clothes for the season and probably not going to wear half of it because Houston doesn’t like to stay cold long (not complaining), I still have a shopping list prepared just to spice up the wardrobe a little.
Check out my shopping guide below for my must have pieces for the most fashionable season of the year.
A Good Leather Jacket
This is numero uno on my list. I currently have a favorite leather jacket I’ve been wearing for some years but it’s time for me to find another. The best part about a good leather jacket is that they will forever be in style and can be worn with almost everything no matter what your style is.
Comfy Sweaters & Cardigans
What would fall fashion be without a good over-sized cardigan and some riding boots to compliment. I mean really?! Obviously the best place I find these are at my local thrift and resale shops, preferably from the men’s section. A good sweater will last years and will be the most comfortable thing you will ever own. I don’t know about you but I’ve already been shopping this and found some great stuff that I can’t wait to show off.
Boyfriend Jeans
Any jeans and pants will be good but it’s something about a good pair of boyfriend jeans I can’t get enough of. Whether I complete the look with my black converse, some heels, or my comfy booties, I can never go wrong in this item.
Hat & Scarves
A Good, Sturdy Bag
I’m all about a big bag but I need one especially for the fall and winter season more than ever. This will hold your gloves, scarf, books, laptop, etc. throughout the day. The more the temperature drops the less I eat out for lunch or go outside unless I have to for that matter this is a must. A good bag will hold everything while still looking extra cute on your shoulder. I preferably go with black because that goes with everything and it’s hard to get dirty but a pop of color will always stand and make a statement.
