We all first met the fabulous Tracee Ellis Ross on the classic show Girlfriends and I’ve been a fan ever since. From her hair and style to her exuberant personality, Tracee has been killing the game. With her new show, Blackish, we are seeing Tracee everywhere promoting the hit series looking fabulous as ever. She even has her own blog, (Tracee Ellis Ross Blog ),where I came to fall in love with Miss Ross even more. You should definitely check it out.
Style
Her personal style is where the attraction grew. This includes lots of color, bulky jewelry, and unique, vintage pieces. Her red carpet looks are my favorites but her street style is where I get a lot of inspiration from.
Hair
To say her hair is not everything is truly an understatement. We have seen the evolution of Tracee’s hair from when she played Joan on Girlfriends to now and it has only gotten better. After being an avid follower of her blog I soon came to find out that dealing with her hair is something that didn’t come easy and through the years she has come to love and better manage it. I can relate to that 100%.
5 Things You Might Not Have Known
1. Her last name is not Ross, it’s actually Joy Silberstein.
2. Tracee was a model growing up and was also a contributing fashion editor to Mirabella and New York magazine.
3. She is big into thrifting and has her local tailor alter her clothes to fit perfect. (love this)
4.She was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by Brown University.
5. Tracee is a huge sneaker head and owns a wide collection of fabulous tennis.
Me being very much into thrifting and of course experiencing the same hair troubles that Tracee explains in her blog makes me feel somewhat connected to her (cheesy, I know). Everything from her hair, style, to her ball of energy personality I absolutely adore.
Of course I can’t conclude this without mentioning that amazing body. Yessss Lawd!! Not needing to say anything more on that topic, Tracee has been my fav for some time and this will not change.
