About a month ago I ran into an old college classmate in the building where I was working who had just started with the company about a week prior. After catching up a little she told me about her all natural skincare line she had. I remembered seeing her products on social media so I was already intrigued. The next day she bought me some samples which I couldn’t help but share on social media(below) and of course try.
Skincare is at the top of the list of importance with me more than ever at this point in my life. Being a blogger I’m obviously in front of the camera and attending events so I need my skin to be clear and glowing. I think sometimes we focus so much on what we’re putting into our bodies by eating healthy that we forget to also focus on what we’re putting onto our skin. Lotions, facial moisturizers, body wash, and all these products contain so many ingredients of who knows what. The increase of more health conscious people are causing companies to step up their products and provide a more natural alternative to some of their lines and I’m for it.
Needless to say I was excited to try these products and wanted to use them for a while to give a true review.
Skincare Routine
1. Creamy Rose Cleanser
The recommended directions for the cleanser is to pour a small amount in palm of hands, apply to face, than rinse. Now due to me wearing makeup and sweating from working out most days, I typically pour the product on a tile and cleanse my face that way.
Review: It’s important that my skin is clean and the day I had is all washed off. The consistency was just right and it got the job done.
2. Rosewater Toner
Toners can really be a hit or miss for me. I’ve tried plenty that have dried out my skin and were too strong.
Review: I didn’t know what to expect being an all natural product. After applying the toner with a cotton ball, the skin did not become immensely dry like many have done. I approve!
3. Rosewater Daily Moisturizer
I applied the moisturizer after the toner. Some moisturizers tend to be too oily or the complete opposite.
Review: I need something that will moisturize throughout the night and have my skin feeling soft and glowing when I wake up. This had the right consistency to use before bed and even throughout the day when I didn’t wear makeup.
4. Rosewater Sugarscrub
I love a good sugar scrub so this is what I was most excited about. I mostly used this in the morning before applying my primer and foundation so I can have a fresh, smooth canvas before applying my makeup.
Review: It was everything I would want in a sugar scrub. Not too harsh on the skin and I knew it exfoliated my skin without causing irritation like others.
Overall:
Ok so obviously I have no complaints. Like I’ve mentioned previously I’m becoming more conscious of the products I use so this came right on time. One the smell is EVERYTHING and two the consistencies of all products were just right for my skin.
